Arlo and Hue stopped working after the Matter update WHY????

I have 2 base stations 1 has all Pro 4 cameras the other has a mix. The one with all 3 pro 4 cameras (vmbn5000r5) works the other (VMB4540R2) connects for 30 sec's and stops ( has 4 original pro, 2 pro2 and pro 4 cameras) . If I unplug it, then plug it back in, it works again for 30 sec's then stops. All worked before Apple did the Homekit Matter update, so why is this happening.

Hue worked prior to this update now it does the same after a reboot it works for 30 sec then stops.

All units say not responding.

I have tried to remove hub and re-add, removed reset to factory and readded devices to hub then add hub to homekit it does not matter what I do, same results.

I have over 50 devices may in wall switches or plugs so restarting my home from scratch is a weekend ordeal and not something I should due, thanks to a matter update released way too soon, any other recommendations?

Hi there TheRoost,

You'll want to be sure you've updated all your device and followed all the steps below to ensure your devices work with the new Home architecture:

* Update your iPhoneiPadMacApple TVHomePod, and Apple Watch to the latest software. Any device that is connected to an upgraded home and not running the latest software will lose access to the home until the device is updated. This includes people that you invite to control your home.
* A home hub, such as an Apple TV or HomePod, is required to share control of your home and to receive Home notifications on the new Home architecture. iPad is not supported as a home hub on the new Home architecture.
* Check that you and people that you invite to control your home have turned on two-factor authentication for Apple ID and iCloud for Passwords and Keychain.

You'll find this information here: Upgrade to the new Home architecture - Apple Support

If your devices still aren't responding afterwards, you'll need to work through these suggestions to see if they resolve the issue for you:

If accessories from several manufacturers aren't responding
Check if your smart home accessories are responding in the Home app after each step.
1. Update your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to the latest software.
2. Close the Home app on your iPhoneiPad, or Mac and reopen it.
3. Make sure your iPhone, iPad, or Mac is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your accessories. To control your accessories remotely, you must set up a home hub.
4. Turn on Bluetooth in the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, or in System Settings on your Mac.
5. Restart any accessories that aren't responding. You may have to take the batteries out of your accessory and put them back in.
6. Check the manufacturer's app to see if accessories that aren't responding in the Home app need a firmware update. If the accessories aren't responding in the manufacturer's app, you may need to reset them.
7. If your accessories still aren't responding in the Home app, restart your devices:
8. Unplug your modem and router, then plug them back into power.
9. Unplug any third-party bridges and all home hubs (HomePod, HomePod mini, and Apple TV), then plug them back into power.
10. Restart accessories that aren't responding. You may have to take the batteries out of your accessory and put them back in.
11. Restart your iPhoneiPad, or Mac.
12. Check VPN and third-party security software to resolve potential network connectivity issues.
If your accessories still aren't responding, contact Apple Support.

You'll find all those steps in this support article: If your HomeKit or Matter accessory isn't responding in the Home app - Apple Support

Take care.
