Old WD external Hard drive doesn't open with my Mac

I have an old WD Mypassport external Hard drive, which I can't open or get it to work with my Mac, this is what I get when trying to open:

32-bit app compatibility with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 and later

About the transition to 64-bit technology and how it affects 32-bit apps.

What can I do to have access to the information I have stored in my drive? any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

How is that old drive formatted...?

If NTFS then you would need to update your old third party supporting application
