You cannot backup the contents of the Music App directly.

You cannot use Time Machine to backup an iPad. Time Machine is an Apple product included with every Mac.

If you backup your iPad to a Mac, you can use Time Machine to backup the Mac including the iPad backup made on the Mac to an external hard drive. The iPad backup does not contain any music ever.

The Mac backup made with Time Machine will contain the music stored in iTunes or the Music app.

Music should always be kept available and backed up from a computer.

Music from the Apple Music subscription service can be re-downloaded from there onto a Mac or PC by logging into the Apple ID that holds that subscription.

Music from other sources imported into iTunes should exist on a computer always.

If the Music only exists on the iPad now, you will need a 3rd party app to extract it from there.
