How to find AirTag from the “help a friend” via the iCloud login?

Trying to find my son’s AirTag he left at home, but he’s abroad.

AirTags show up separately under “items” in the regular app, his phone etc.. show up in the “help a friend “ iCloud version, but that version does not have an “items” tab, so I cannot find the AirTag using the find device feature.

any ideas how to find the AirTag? We know it’s here at home somewhere but I cannot locate it like I can my AirTags - my AirTags are easy to find, it points the arrow and let’s me home in on them easy, but can’t select his AirTag

That worked. I found it. It was in his sock drawer. LOL. Been looking for it all morning. Found it super fast once I setup a new phone.

Seems that Apple could have done a better job to make this sort of thing easier.

Sorry, AirTags cannot be located using Find My on iCloud.com. They can only be located using the Find My app on an iPhone, iPad or Mac.

Your son may be able to find it by logging into the FindMy app.

The alternative is to reset a current device and set it up using his Apple ID.
