does anyone else have an issue with Iphone 14 running hot? thanks

Any phone that uses the 5G network will generally run hotter than phones that use older networks. And the iPhone 14 can fast charge; it will get hot when you fast charge with a 20 watt power source (2nd law of thermodynamics) and will probably have to pause around 80% to cool down before resuming charging. That is all normal. If it actually shuts down and says it must cool off before it can be used that is not normal; unless it is in a very hot environment (such as a parked car in the sun) contact Apple support.
