CNN app won’t open

Using the iPad Pro CNN app opens too a white screen with cnn logo for about 2 seconds and closes. This has been going on for over a year.Deleted and reinstalled many times same result. It always downloads from the cloud. Don’t understand this at all. It works fine on the iPhone 14
