My Macbook air M1 automatically turns on after the lid is closed

Are you sure the laptop is completely powered off before closing the lid?
Make sure you are not using any keyboard covers or skins since the display may be pressing a key to power on the laptop.
Did you connect or disconnect the power adapter? That may trigger the laptop to power on.
Maybe the lid sensor is out of alignment. You would need to have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop.
