Need to figure out logic board part number

I have a couple questions, purchased a MacBook Pro 2017 13 inch second hand for repair. I’m in need of a part number for this laptops logic board. Also I’m assuming that the SSD hard drive is attached to the logic board so there is no hard drive in this computer?? It was purchased with no logic board and a bad screen. Please help!

You can get some ideas for part numbers easily, but the information can be 'noisy', i.e, not quite right.

Sellers on US eBay will blurt out what they think are the part numbers associated with the parts they are selling.

But you MUST be properly skeptical, as some of these folks have NO IDEA what they are selling, and some will get it wrong. If you majority vote across a handful of similar listings, you will often come up with the proper part number.

Entering that part number alone as a Browser search term alone or with Mac or MacBook will bring up parts listed on 'computer junkyard' sites as well, and they have more information., But again, be skeptical.

I found the logic board, with the exact specs of mine 3.3Ghz with 512gb SSD 16GB ram, Touch ID and all..under $140.00 I only spend $42 on non functional unit in flawless condition. I think for under $200.00 is a good price point for repair. As for the screen it shows picture with lines on the LCD..however I usually use a dual monitor set up anyhow. Until I find a screen for a decent price. Let me know your opinions. Thanks..

My opinion, FWIW, is that $200 for a 6 year old computer is way too much. Newer OSs and apps will not run on such an old soon to be vintage/obsolete device.

So as far as OS, not so much my concern as I have been able to update both my 2015 MacBook Air to Ventura 13.4.1 as well as my 2016 A1707 Mac Pro.

I have located the part and had seller send me confirmation 820-00923-A as well as 820-00923-05. It’s for my daughter and for what she’s looking to do with it, it’s better then buying a new PC or Mac that will be above that cost I would spend. I do appreciate all feed back and things to look out for, that’s why I came on here to get everyone’s opinions and input.

I also wanted to know if a hard drive from one model MacBook is proprietary to that particular model? I have a hard drive being sent back to me from a insurance claim mac so I can get data off of it, but can I use that in another computer if I wanted to?

They are all different, and the more recent models are no longer just annoying proprietary devices in a non-standard socket -- they are soldered down for maximum reliability. If you could get them off the board, you find that Apple uses a separate data array device, and the required controller function is inside the T2 chip or Apple-silicon processor.

so Exactly what model is of vital importance.
