I accidentally removed the Mail icon from the dock
I did something to remove the mail icon from the dock. I can receive email on my iphone but cant access it on my macbook

The icon on the Dock is simply an alias pointing back to your applications folder.
Many ways to restore the alias back to the Dock
—Launch from the Finder sidebar>Applications >Mail.app
—Launch it from the LaunchPad See left side of Dock
—From the Application folder you can drag Mail.app directly back to the Dock...
—From the Spotlight search bar you can search "Mail.app" to open...
—if you launch the app, it will be in the Dock; Control click>Option>Keep in Dock

The icon on the Dock is simply an alias pointing back to your applications folder.
