Hi there kenosi179,
If Wi-Fi doesn't seem to be configured on your MacBook Air running macOS Monterey, you can follow the steps below to set it up:
If you don’t see Wi-Fi in Network preferences on Mac
If your computer has wireless capability but you don’t see Wi-Fi in Network preferences, the Wi-Fi service may not be set up.
1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu> System Preferences, then click Network
.
2. Click the Add buttonat the bottom of the list.
3. Click the Interface pop-up menu, then choose Wi-Fi.
4. Enter a name for the service, then click Create.
5. By default, the service is named Wi-Fi, but you can provide any name you want.
6. Enter settings for the Wi-Fi service, such as the network name, then click Advanced to set other options.
7. To change which service is used first when more than one is active, click the Action pop-up menu, choose Set Service Order, then drag the network services in the list to change their order.
You'll find this information here: If you don’t see Wi-Fi in Network preferences on Mac - Apple Support
If you need more help setting up your network, you may want to reach out to your internet service provider since they're best-equipped to provide details about the settings and information you'll need to enter for that network.
Take care.
