Screen time requests via iMessage stopped appearing

With the newer IOS, screen time requests started coming in via text in iMessage. It worked great. Unfortuntely, it stopped working, and I don't know why. I can approve screen time requests by going through settings but having it in iMessage is much quicker. Any ideas what to check? All my other texts/options seem to work fine.

Hello howardw1976,

We understand you aren't able to receive the Screen Time requests through iMessage anymore. There are a few things to check to see why this might have stopped working as expected. We'll include the helpful article associated with Screen Time for family members.

Set up Screen Time for a family member on iPhone

One thing to check is to make sure both devices involved are updated to the latest iOS version. On each device go to Settings > General > Software Update.

Update your iPhone or iPad

Then, on your device, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Make sure both your phone number and Apple ID email address are checked to receive messages at. Reply back if the issue still isn't resolved.

Best regards.
