Apple Music Subscription

I have the individual Apple Music plan, but I am in college now and would like to switch to the college student plan. How can I do that? And will I lose all my music while trying to switch?

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 16

Get an Apple Music student subscription – Apple Support (AU)

If you change plans one day before your Apple Music plan renews you should retain your Library.

Yes but in order to change plans I have to cancel my subscription first then get the student subscription? And while doing that I would still have my music?
