will I be able to get a replacement for or do I have to buy hole new set

Apple supplies single part replacements through their service and repair page, AirPods Repair & Service - Apple Support. It will depend exactly which components you lost whether it is cheaper to buy only the lost parts, or simply buy a full new retail product.
