screen protector removal safety

I added a screen protector (gum type) to my MacBook (16’) but then it didn’t look as good as I expected, the whole thing caused my screen to look dull

i want to remove it but I’m afraid of damaging the screen, should I be worried?

The only way is to peel it off carefully. To mitigate any adhesion, peel it back, starting at a corner, at a very low angle, i.e. like you're pulling it back over itself. The greater the angle, the greater the tendency to lift the screen coating.

I'd be worried yes, but the only way to dispel that worry would have been not to use it at all. You have a choice: live with it or peel it off. It's up to you.
