Can I upgrade my macbook air 2018 from cataline 10.15.7 to 11.4
I have a macbook air 2018. It is currently running Catalina 10.15.7. Can I upgrade to 11.4? When I try to update software the only option appears to be Ventura

Yes, you can. Ventura is the only available option from Software Update as it's the most current version your Mac can run.
If you specifically want Big Sur 11.4 for some reason, you have to manually download it from the App Store, (rather than through Software Update) and install it.
