Super Duper and Time machine?
I have plenty of room, so how can I put both my super Duper clone and my time machine back up on the same external drive?

it can be done, but IMHO, that is an incredibly bad idea. if the drive fails, you lose BOTH of your backups. as affordable as external drives have become, why not dedicate separate drives for each of those two things?
OK. well one way would be to use disk utility to partition the drive into two partitions, and use one of each for your desired use.
I don't understand the point but you would have to partition drive and assign one to Time Machine and one to SuperDuper!.
No idea what would happen if they both try to back up at the same time.
Since each drive already contains the SuperDuper clone, can I make/add the TM partition now (or do I need to start from scratch)? Currently, I get a message asking if I want to use TM, but it doesn’t show the drive at all when I try to do so.

you need to partition it first. that will erase everything on the drive.

frankly, IDK why that is. I have never tried to do two things with one drive like you want to do. sorry.
Understood, but I'm actually not concerned about that since I have three such backup drives that I keep offsite and alternate week by week.
Thanks!
you're welcome.
