  1. Remove beta in Settings. Navigate to Settings >> General >> VPN & Device Management. Tap into the iOS 17 Beta Software Profile and click "Remove Profile".
  2. Remove iOS 17 beta with iTunes. Connect your device to the computer and launch iTunes. Select your device icon in iTunes to open the device summary page. Click on the "Summary" tab and locate the "Restore iPhone". Confirm your selection by clicking "Restore" and agree to the prompts. iTunes will download and install the latest stable iOS official version on your device.

I also found that I do not have an iOS 17 Profile in VPN and Device Management but my iTunes on my Mac can no longer see my phone either. There is no indication in iTunes that my phone is connected. However, the Mac recognizes the phone because communication between the phone and IPhotos is just fine. Also, when the phone is connected to the Mac's USB port iTunes turns on automatically as it should. It just can't see the phone. Currently have an iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 17.0.3. The iMac is running El Capitan (10.11.6) and can not be updated further.

After iOS 17 upgrade on my 12Pro iTunes on my iMac could no longer see my phone. An Apple Sr Advisor said he would report the problem and told me to wait for a further upgrade. This was after he spent more than six hours with me trying to fix it.

What version of macOS are you running that you're still using iTunes? It must be pretty old. The age of your computer and the version of macOS may be the problem.

iOS 17 has really messed up my iphone pro 13 phone, to where I can't get on apps or websites, I regret the download. Is there nothing I can do about this ? I have been with apple since the first generation iphone , and this is really annoying.

Updating to iOS 17 should not have prevented you from using apps or going to websites. What you can do about it is figure out what the problem is.

I suggest that you start your own thread with a subject line that describes the specific problem you're having (e.g., "Can't access websites or apps on iPhone 13 Pro"). Then, in the post, explain exactly what you're doing, what happens when you try, any error messages you're getting, and what troubleshooting steps you've taken so far. I'm confident that people will be able to help you figure things out.

Replying to IdrisSeabright: Thank you for your thoughts. My iMac and my iPhone worked just fine when the phone was at iOS 16. As you know, Apple encourages that all iPhone users update their phones to the most current iOS. I feel that one should not be required to buy a new computer that is not otherwise needed in order to continue to use your phone. My iMac has been upgraded to the most current level of OS X that it can accept.

Replying to IdrisSeabright. My aging iMac is definitely part of the problem but it all worked fine when my phone was at iOS 16. I should not be required to buy a new computer to make my phone work.

I haven't connected an iPhone to a Mac in years. Yes, if you have an aging Mac, you may not be able to do that anymore but, it's generally not necessary.
