I doubt so. How can you prove it’s under 1 year? Did you buy the cable itself? Did you bought from online? Or have receipt? Does the cable has serial number?
but you can try to contact Apple support and ask.
If the cable came with your iPhone, in the box, then it shares the same warranty as the device. If your device is still under warranty then yes, as long as it's not physically damaged.
If you purchased the cable from Apple, then it has a stand alone 1 year limited warranty. If the cable stops working but has no damage then yes it would be covered.
