phone is stuck dead
a few days ago my phone (iphone se 2020) died after a few months of holding my charger at an angle . i didnt get a new charger until yesterday so i expected my phone to take a while to turn back on , but it never did . for about 2 hours i was stuck with just the empty red battery screen , then it went black . ive tried different cords , still black . i pressed the power button while it was unplugged to see if it'd show me the "not charging" screen and nothing . wont connect to my laptop or pc . different outlets dont work . tried cleaning the port it was clean . tried squeezing near the home button while plugging it in , did nothing . tried hard reset/forced restart , nothing . and yes - i pressed vol up and vol down individually but very fast . ive tried heating up the battery with a hair dryer . cleaned the port again . looked into the port and compared it to another phone to see if anything was messed up/broken . nope . there is just no sign of life in this phone at all . what happened ?? what can i do ?
im sure the obvious answer is just replace it but i really dont want to do that . im too young for a job so i cant buy icloud storage - im sure yk where im going with this . my phone ran out of storage (and so hasnt been backed up) about two years ago (i know i know its only a dollar . my mom doesnt understand why id need to pay a dollar monthly if she already bought the phone) . so i want to try every possible option before i give up everything ive done , every picture/video ive taken , ect on my phone in the last 2 years .
