"Find and Replace" Superscript in Pages?

Hi! I format a lot of scripture passages for media presentations, and often they include superscript numerals at the beginning of each verse in a passage. Is there a way to use the Find and Replace command to search specifically for Superscript? I use it to get rid of parentheses and other formatting things, but haven't been able to find a way to erase only things in Superscript.

Thanks!

Unlike Microsoft Word, Pages does not offer the ability to find and replace character styles, and thus, has no means to isolate instances of superscript. I already tried entering a superscript number from the Emojis & Symbols panel into Find and it failed to locate the same superscript number in the document text.

If you have Word, or even LibreOffice Writer, you could export the Pages document to Word .docx, open in either of the those applications; perform your superscript find/replace; save, and reopen in Pages. That is substantial PITA to be practical though.

If I'm understanding you, this answer (while true) doesn't really help. I know I can find numbers in the Find dialog and erase them, even if they are superscript. But in my case my documents also have Scripture references (John 3:16, that kind of thing) that need to remain in the document. So just erasing all instances of a number won't help me. I'm trying to find a way to rid my documents of only superscript. By all means, help me understand if I'm misinterpreting your answer. Thank you for it all the same!
