Hey Footrot,

It sounds like you're not receiving notification sounds on your iPhone. We'd recommend trying the following steps to help get that resolved:

  1. Check your notification settings to ensure they are enabled and setup as you'd like them: Change notification settings on iPhone - Apple Support
  2. Check to see if Do Not Disturb or Focus features are enabled that could be preventing the notifications from playing: Use Do Not Disturb with Focus on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
  3. If notifications are appearing but not playing sound, check out the steps here for resolving audio issues: If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker - Apple Support
  4. Check to see if you have any Bluetooth audio devices or headphones connected to your iPhone that could be playing the sound through them
  5. If you're using an Apple Watch paired with your iPhone, notifications will only appear on one device but not both, this article explains more about that: Notifications on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Thanks!

Your iPhone is not providing sound alerts. I have 2 solutions for you. The first one is go into settings, Sound & Haptics and under Ring Tone and Alert volume turn it right up to the max. The Second one is Go into settings Face ID and Passcode. Enter your passcode then you should be taken to the menu. You want to scroll down a bit and look for Attention Aware Features. Turn that off. That might fix your problem.
