For everyone who faced the same issue.

My setup is MacBook Pro M1 connect to 32" Dell Monitor with DDPM software.

I can figure out the cause of the high memory consumption is the DDPM.

So, I recommend to uninstall the DDPM until their fix it.

Thank you for the Activity Monitor image above

But what else is running in Activity Monitor

What appears in your image is only a snap shot of some running Applications /Services

Suggest using Activity Monitor >> View >> View ALL Processes

Example, am running Safari ( NO additional Tabs ) , Notes, Mail and Activity Monitor

Thank you for the above

Often times - the issue maybe not actually be a single process alone but a combination of Processes

From what is presented, there are 7 instances of Google Chrome and associated process running including the

" Renderer " and " Helper " processes

If you look at the Memory Used in each of the above mentioned processes it ranges from the low of 426 MB and gets t progressively greater in each other process.

Then there is the question of the number of Open Tabs in your Browser, they can also affect Memory Usage.

Seems the solution maybe:

1 - use a less Memory intensive Browser like Google Chrome

2- Limit the number of instances of Google Chrome from running

3 - Limit the number of Open Tab in Chrome
