Can you enable Apply Pay for Bank issued Amex card?

Is it an American Express card or a card that processes transactions on the American Express network? American Express supports Apple Pay and I have several AmEx cards in my Apple Wallet.

Cards processed on AmEx’s network are probably supported. You need to see what bank issued the card and if that bank supports Apple Pay. Please use the support article linked below to check if the issuing bank supports Apple Pay.

Credit One Bank issues a card that just uses AmEx payment network. The card has a small AmEX logo, just like Visa, Mastercard does. Macy’s also has a card that is just processed through AmEx too. I think there are others.

Overseas, there may be additional expenses that make it too expensive for the bank. AmEx network fees are usually a little higher than MasterCard and Visa. The payment network pays Apple a very small percentage of the fee they collect.

I thought AmEx was still the only “issuer” for the AmEx brand … ?
