Yeah, if you just logged into something and got one notification for a login from not-local location, you're fine.
Geolocated IP addresses tend to be away from the actual location, as accuracy both costs more for ISPs to maintain, and causes problems for users. It's routine to be reported as logging in on a different Apple device in a different state, around here.

To see where you're logged in: Check your Apple ID device list to find where you're signed in - Apple Support
For your security...
If you don't already have two-factor authentication enabled, turn that on as that can give you one last chance to avoid the mess of a breach if your Apple ID password becomes compromised: Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support
And in the unlikely event that you really did lose control of your Apple ID (and I doubt this happened, solely from a mis-located geolocation notification): If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support
