My Apple computer is saying my email account is offline. I think my password is somehow missing maybe but don’t know how to get to that place to enter it

Quit Mail and relaunch it...?
Click the triangle if present
Mail.app>settings>Accounts>Server Settings
use the Connection Doctor>Shoe Details
