I bought some songs on my iPhone XR because it's my main phone, but then when I try to download it using iTunes it downloads random apps I downloaded before but deleted. Whenever I delete the apps and try to download the music again it downloads the apps again and whatever I try doesn't work and I can't find anything about it online, any hep would be greatly appreciated.

That seems strange, since the iTunes Store does not have apps, only music. If you follow the redownloading guide and have specifics of which step results in downloading an app, pls clarify.
I do, but it downloads apps instead of the songs
