My husband is trying to update his apps on his ipad and while most auto-update as they should, several are linked to my apple ID instead. He's properly signed in and I have nothing to do with these 5 apps of his. How do we fix this?

Unless you have Family Sharing active then you (or he with your ID) must have downloaded the apps to his device with your ID at some stage. Unless he can update them with Family Sharing active he will need to delete them entirely (and risk possible loss of data) so he can download them with his own ID.
