I shot a music video and I transferred the files to an external hard drive and now when I transfer it back only one file is working out of the bunch. It shows the file size and everything but it’s just greyed out. Any tips will be greatly appreciated!

You imported them from the card using the FCP import window. Is that correct?

They were inside the FCP library. They worked inside the library. Is that right?

”then I transferred the files to an external hard drive”.

What exactly did you do? Where were the video clips when you transferred them? How did you transfer them?

Do you still have the camera card with the original clips?

Ok I imported the files from a sd card to Final Cut Pro. But I had a another project to do so I transferred the files to an external hard drive. Now I’m trying to work on the project and only one file is working. The rest are greyed out in the Final Cut Pro import menu. I see the files in the external hard drive and it shows the size of it but it won’t let me play it
