Why is there no option to change the theme of subtitles in the settings?
Apple TV has been purchased..and the system is very cool..but why can we change the position of the subtitles?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. This sounds like feedback for Apple since current subtitle settings don't offer the option you mentioned. Current options can be found from Change subtitles or languages for videos in the Apple TV app or iTunes Store - Apple Support.
If you would like to send Apple suggestions about what you would like to see, you can do that from Product Feedback - Apple.

I created my own style and made the text smaller and almost transparent. I can still see the text, but the subtitles don’t block the scene.
Bit of a learning curve, but that's what I finally ended up doing myself. For anyone reading, creating our own style actually means adapting whichever existing style you last clicked, to format a new one, at Apple Menu -> System Settings -> Accessibility -> Captions. Click an existing style, then "+". Choose your options. I decreased the default size to Medium and chose Semitransparent. Good luck!

Unbelievably frustrating. The captions on Britbox are RIGHT ON TOP OF THE ACTORS' FACES sometimes. How does that make sense??
