Hello

APPLE TV 128GB 4K WI-FI + ETHERNET 2022

The device was purchased two days ago

It has been updated to the latest version

But when I search for a Wi-Fi network, the frequency of 5ghz does not appear

which shows only 2.5ghz

The Wi-Fi module on Apple TV can connect to a Wi-Fi channel on either the 2.4 GHz band or the 5 GHz band. Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) technical specifications - Apple Support. Apple TV wouldn’t let you know which band is chosen, unless indicated in the SSID name of the network, as configured on the router.

Apple recommends that home networks combine the 2.4 GHz band and the 5 GHz band into one logical network under one SSID network name (no distinction). Then devices can connect to either one, what they deem best under the circumstances of that moment. Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support.

The 2.4 GHz band can give plenty enough bandwidth if the area isn’t congested. It is not worse than 5 GHz per se. Both have a bandwidth limit much higher than what Apple TV streaming will ever ask.

A reset was made for Apple TV

A reset was done to the router

And the problem persists

Another router has also been tried.. and the problem continues

The 5ghz frequency does not appear, and the router is very close to Apple TV .. and all devices in the room are watching 5ghz

Apple TV just can't show 5ghz

Sometimes it appears rarely and disappears quickly

Apple was also contacted in the State of Kuwait

The device was examined and they said that the problem is not hardware .. the problem is software and there will be updates that solve the problem

I have not used the Apple TV since I bought it. Please solve the problem

This is a user forum, you are not addressing Apple here. If you haven't used it since then you may want to try to see if the problem persists. If the issue is still occurring then you need to follow up with Apple support to update and inquire what the status is on their investigation of the software issue as indicated in your previous contact with them. You can also give feedback re: subtitles when you contact them or use the online feedback form. Good luck.
