How do you locate your Apple ID location on a map

It’s frustrating on how you can actually see that your stolen iPhone is still connected with your Apple ID …You can see it on map but, cannot zoom in or out. Knowing fully well that it was your only chance of retrieving your iPhone back. What do you suggest at this point? You might be helping someone out without even knowing.

Hi EmprexLucy,

The best steps to start with if your iPhone is ever lost or stolen is listed out here: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen

If it was stolen, make sure you've reported the incident to the local law enforcement. You can also mark it as "lost" using Find My and also erase your device remotely to further protect your Apple ID and data. Follow the specific steps here: Use the Find My app to locate a missing device or item

Erase a device
1. Make sure that you try the steps above to recover your missing device—this can't be undone.
2. Open the Find My app and choose the Devices tab.
3. Select the device that you want to remotely erase.
4. Scroll down and choose Erase This Device.
5. Select Erase This [device].
If your missing device is covered by AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss, file a claim for your lost or stolen device and do not remove the device from Find My or your Apple ID.

Good luck and take care.
