Trial subscriptions must be cancelled at least 24 hours before the expiration of the trial subscription. I suspect the that you cancelled the trial the day before the auto renewal, but not 24 hours before the auto pay.

Auto Payment of a subscription, from trial to full subscription, does not require preauthorization of a charge. But it must be cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal. Those requirements are in the terms and conditions when you started the trial condition. I don’t mean to sound rude or uncaring, but read things before you sign on the dotted line. If you have questions, it’s a best practice to ask first, before having/seeing a surprise in your bank account.

Okay I will try bringing in some clarity.

On 23/06/2023 I had purchased a one month trial offer for one of the apps via Apple ID.

On 22/07/2023 I got a sms which said some amount has been deducted from my account via autopay through upi towards same app subscription extension through apple services. I did not get any intimation or approval request before the payment happened.

Now, my concern is that if I go into my Apple ID > media and purchase > view account > purchase history , I cannot see the invoice or receipt for the amount that is deducted. First question is , Why is it so or am I looking in a wrong place ?

Secondly, I also do not intend to continue with the paid subscription for the app which I had purchased for one month trial period.

Hence, I started checking on how to get refund of the amount that is deducted and found this support link https://reportaproblem.apple.com/?s=6 where if I select option “request a refund” with reason “I did not intend to renew the subscription” I get a response as “You have no purchases that are eligible for a refund”.

I have cancelled auto renewal of subscription and further wish to avail refund for the payment that has gone through apple services since one month of trial for subscribed app is not yet complete.

kindly help
