How can I create a brand new email address so I can use it for my Apple ID?

I’ve heard gmail isn’t that secure to use as Apple ID because google spreads itself over lots of platforms leaving your ID vulnerable to find and there in the public domain for hackers to mess with. I’d prefer to use mail providers that don’t have lots of platforms like google and Microsoft have. Do you have any other ideas or recommendations please?

how do I go about creating a new iCloud email when I’ve already got an iCloud.com email but it isn’t my Apple ID. But is associated with my Hotmail iCloud iD that I want to change emails for , so I can’t just swap it over. So need a new one. Can you have two iCloud.com emails for same account or is that not possible?

Or do I have to change it to an email address other than an iCloud.com. Thank you

Thank you I’ll look at the article and get back to you if I have any trouble if that’s ok? But will say this that when I’ve tried to change my iCloud .com email to my ID it says it can’t because it’s already associated with my ID. But my Hotmail address is my ID. So it’s very confusing as to what to do. But I’ll look at the article before bugging you any further. Thanks for your help so far.

The article says this …. Note: You cannot delete or turn off a primary iCloud Mail address. You cannot use an alias to create a separate Apple ID, and an email alias cannot be converted to a primary iCloud Mail address.

….and I want to convert my iCloud.com to my ID instead of my Hotmail which I don’t use the email for and can’t even access it. Or create a new email entirely to use as my iD in place of the Hotmail. It’s all very confusing and conflicting information. Because in one breath the article says you can use an alias as your Id then says the above in the “note section” of the article. So I’m baffled.
