MacInstaller stuck in a loop

I am trying to install the Mac OS Ventura on my Mac M1 Air. After accepting the terms, the installer shows that it will install on Macintosh HD. On pressing continue, it pops a dialogue box for admin password. Once I have entered the correct password, it goes back to the same step and ask for Continue and pops the password box again.
