iPad internet connection

Purchased iPad 9th generation to use for my job when I go into stores to do audits. I can not seem to get it to connect to the internet while in the store. What am I doing wrong?

Appears to be a case of no Wi-Fi signal. Or if you also had an iPhone, that may be used

to hand-off signal (by Wi-Fi) to your iPad. ~At least with one Cellular device, that might

share the same via Continuity settings. Within proximity, an iPhone can share internet.

Otherwise, each separate Cellular Data based-account may require a separate billing.

And depending on your Carrier, their services vary; between regions & plan coverage.

While used at a residence, a local wireless base station can provide wi-fi source. If

you need to take that on the road to various businesses: That'd cost for cellular data.

A new plan, too; if not able to run the hand-off feature between companion hardware.

There may be means to get a refund; or upscale to full featured

iPad (cell+wi-fi) model. ~ Depending on where you bought iPad

or any Apple product, there could be a 14-day return policy.

An Apple retail store location, should resolve this; if bought there.

Or an Apple Authorized Reseller, may or may not help exchange

the product for better suited one. ~These authorized resellers &

AASP (authorized service) in general are independent business'.

A cellular phone may (or not) could share its signal to wi-fi device

as, and provide a code for that other device to run wi-fi securely.

An iPhone does this, and is like a 'private band' to share its internet.

While Android features and associated costs vary between makers

and service providers may (or not) offer a means to replicate this.

There are fair reasons, 'end-to-end encryption' security, etc; for an

individual/business to adapt an Apple product. Cost, slightly more.

so then you must sign on each store’s Wi-Fi network when you get there, using credentials the store supplies if the network is not open.

What problem are you having, and what troubleshooting steps gave you taken?

Frankly, I would think an auditor would be better off with a cellular model iPad and service, so as to be less dependent on the site’s network.
