There are some accessories such as this Tech21 Pure Clear Case for iPhone SE/8/7 which lists compatibility with all 3 models.
If you compare the dimensions from iPhone 7 - Technical Specifications with those from iPhone 8 - Technical Specifications you'll note that the iPhone 7 shows:
"Size and Weight3
- Height: 5.44 inches (138.3 mm)
- Width: 2.64 inches (67.1 mm)
- Depth: 0.28 inch (7.1 mm)"
while the iPhone 8 shows:
"Size and Weight2
- Height: 5.45 inches (138.4 mm)
- Width: 2.65 inches (67.3 mm)
- Depth: 0.29 inch (7.3 mm)"
So while they are not exactly the same, they are close enough that case compatibility should not be an issue.
