I'm looking for how to set the water lock on my apple watch directly, without starting any of the sports apps. In a situation where I am kayaking for more than half a day, the watch battery doesn't manage for more than 3-4 hours, so I need to lock it directly.
Use the Control Center to activate Water Lock. Refer to How to use Water Lock and eject water from your Apple Watch which explains "Touch and hold the bottom of the display when your watch face or an app is visible. Wait for Control Center to show, then swipe up. You can open Control Center from any screen."
