If you don't have access to the previous owner's iCloud account or an iPhone to unpair the Apple Watch, you might face some limitations in erasing the iCloud data from the watch. The Apple Watch is designed to be closely linked to the user's iCloud account for security reasons, and without proper authorization, you may not be able to fully remove the previous owner's iCloud data.

However, if you have purchased a used Apple Watch and need to remove the previous owner's iCloud account from the watch, you can try the following steps:

  1. Contact Apple Support: If you have proof of purchase or a valid receipt for the used Apple Watch, you can contact Apple Support and explain the situation. They may be able to assist you in unlinking the previous owner's iCloud account from the watch.
  2. Check Activation Lock Status: You can check the Activation Lock status of the Apple Watch to see if it's still linked to the previous owner's iCloud account. Go to the Apple website and visit the Activation Lock Status page (https://www.icloud.com/activationlock/). Enter the device's serial number or IMEI to check its status. If the device is still Activation Locked, it means it's tied to the previous owner's iCloud account.
  3. Reach Out to the Previous Owner: If you have any contact information for the previous owner, try reaching out to them and request that they remove the Apple Watch from their iCloud account. They can do this remotely by signing in to their iCloud account on iCloud.com and removing the watch from their list of devices.
  4. Reset the Apple Watch: If you cannot remove the previous owner's iCloud account, you can try resetting the Apple Watch to its factory settings. Keep in mind that this will not remove the Activation Lock if it's still enabled. To reset the Apple Watch, follow these steps:
    • On the Apple Watch, go to "Settings" > "General" > "Reset."
    • Choose "Erase All Content and Settings."
    • If prompted, enter the passcode for the Apple Watch.
    • Confirm the action and wait for the process to complete.

While this will erase the data on the Apple Watch, it won't remove the Activation Lock. If the Activation Lock is still active, you will need the previous owner's iCloud account details to set up the watch again.

If none of these options work, and the Apple Watch is still Activation Locked, it's essential to contact Apple Support for further guidance and assistance with resolving the issue. They may request proof of purchase or ownership to help you with the situation.
