Edit>Find Search

I'd like to search for certain words in my own work, i.e., search for a word and then have it highlighted at each occurrence. Is there an app for this?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.4

What app is your work created in now? Most have than function built in so you do not beed a third-party app.

This is from searching an Apple support document for the word "rapid" using command f in Safari:

Textedit works the same way. So does Apple's Pages.

In Office Mac 2019, command f finds the first occurence but subsequent use of command g moves the highligh tothe next occurence.

With more detail from you I may be able to give more specific suggestions.

Allan Jones, thank you very much for reaching out to help me. I'm realizing that the problem is that what I'm having trouble with is actually a paper I downloaded that someone had typed up many years ago. So probably because it wasn't done on a computer, the Edit>Find search won't work. If you have any ideas for converting what was done on an old-fashioned typewriter, let me know! Thanks! ~ Melanie

Old Toad ~ Thank you very much for reaching out to help me. As I explained above to someone else, I'm realizing that the problem is that what I'm having trouble with is actually a paper I downloaded that someone had typed up many years ago. So probably because it wasn't done on a computer, the Edit>Find search won't work. If you have any ideas for converting what was done on an old-fashioned typewriter, let me know! Thanks! ~ Melanie
