Numbers formula query

What formula do I use to show total weight loss to date so I don’t have to manually enter the formula on that one day.

Example, started 229.6 pounds then enter next weight 229 so total loss to date is .6 pounds

next time I weigh 228.4 so what formula is used to show the original weight of 200 less today 228.4 to show 2 pounds lost to date ?

thank you….

One way would be something like this:

The first row is a Header Row (shaded by default).

In C2 I entered

=B2−B$1

And filled that down the column by hovering and dragging the yellow dot down.

If you want to get fancier you could use this in B2, and fill it down:

=IF(B2="","",B2−B$1)

That will make the cell appear blank unless you have entered a value on that row in column B.
