Wrong airdrop

My husband and I were traveling on the highway when I got an airdrop that said it was for him. It had his name and picture. He said he never got it, and that it was impossible for the wrong person to get it.

My friend who is very far away can see my name in airdrop. My friend sent me a screenshot of my contact in the airdrop screen on their phone, suggesting that I was a person that could receive their airdrop. Upon pressing my contact, it said that the airdrop was "declined". I am so far away- should I be concerned? Is it possible that this is a glitch? Any insight is appreciated!

Can I use AirDrop with someone in another state? I have a family member who lives in another state and would like to airdrop with them. I should mention They are not in my apple account bu they are in my contacts list. Best Regards [Re-Titled by Moderator]

airdrop name wrong I tried to change the AirDrop name from General—> Info but if I search for my iPhone with AirDrop it shows the wrong name! how to solve? i have iPhone 14 Pro
