Bullet Indentation with Scribble (Ipad)

I'm using Scribble in Pages. When I go to indent using the toolbar buttons at the bottom of the screen it only indents the text and doesn't bring the bullet point with it. See example below:

• This is what I want to happen
  • (Text starts here)

The only way to achieve the correct option is to stop using scribble, select the format toolbar, scroll down to bullets & lists, and indent from there.

Is there something I'm missing? I know I'm using an old ipad, but from my research, it doesn't look like the newer versions can do this either. Can this be fixed please? It is a really annoying workaround.
