Finding iPod support

Hey guys, was trying to find the old iPod classic support website. That’s because my iPod has a bad battery and needs to be restored. My computer won’t recognize it. Do you think you can help me out?

My old iPod Classic 80GB comes up with a red cross and a message; www.apple.com/support/ipod. I did connect it to my laptop with a usb cable, but my laptop does not pick it up. My computer does not pick it up when I connect it with a USB cable. I would really like to use it again, or is it buggered for good?

You have arrived at Apple's support for all iPods.

However, Apple no longer provide a battery replacement service for the Classic. Your best option is to look locally to where you live (i.e. - not another country), for someone who can replace the battery for you.
