Moving one family member to individual iCloud plan

We share a 200 GB iCloud plan in our family. We are close to the 200 GB limit, and instead of upgrading to a 2 TB plan, it is much cheaper to move one of the family members onto an individual plan.

What is the best method of doing this? Are there any issues with photos etc that are stored in the family iCloud plan - or will they be migrated automatically to the individual plan? Are there any issues/things to be aware of when doing this switch?

Hello ziggy99,

We'd be happy to provide you with some information. "When you share an iCloud+ subscription, everyone in the family group uses their own account. That way your photos, documents, and other information stay private, even though you're sharing access to the service. " "If you leave a family that shares an iCloud+ plan and you're using more than 5GB of storage, you can buy your own plan to continue using iCloud storage. Learn more about what happens when you stop using Family Sharing" You can learn more here: Share iCloud+ with your family - Apple Support

Thanks.
