Can not export XML from fcp 10.6.7

Export stalls midway, only option is to Force Quit. Happens on my MacBook M1 and Studio M2.

Also: FCPX constantly crashes randomly when clicking/selecting

Preview: "the document could not be exported ..." In Preview, every export (to jpeg or PDF at least) fails with the statement above. This failure is on my MacBook Air M1; my mini M1 with exactly the same OS version (Ventura 3.1 22C65) behaves correctly.

Crashes in FCPX when hitting export. Everytime I try to export a master file, Final Cut Pro crashes instantly, as soon as I click on that export button, the application is gone and shortly afterwards a report appears showing these lines amongst many, many others. Trying to modify the destination preferences (which by default are set to the Desktop) of the Master file export leads to the exact same crash and report. Maybe the problem is the destination? Save As not working intermittently across programs. At times, Save As does not work and if I try to close the file a dialogue box appears asking if I want to Save, but the file does not save. Appears in new files rather than opened existing files. I have to Force Quit to close the program noting the message that the program is not responding. Problem is intermittent. Been happening for at least 3-6 months. Happens regularly in PS 22.5.0, Word for Mac 16.52, Excel for Mac 16.52...but these are the programs I have mostly been using. iMac (27" Late 2012), macOS Catalina 10.15.7

Exporting my project XML. The XML export stops midway (tried both 1.11 and 1.10 on both my M1 MacBook Pro and M2 Studio). FCP freezes up and beach ball spins, waited 5-7 min with no progress. Can not Quit FCP only Force Quit available.

Image does not show very much.

Trashing the FCP settings is a good idea, will do that first thing tomorrow.

What are you exporting exactly? Post a screenshot. Export version 1.10.

Trash FCP settings whenever the application crashes or is force quit.
