Hi hailie36,

You may need to join the family group in order to access Apple Music:

"Join a family group

Accept or decline an invitation to join a family directly from your device. You'll get an invitation by email or in a text message. Then you can respond right from the invitation. If you miss the email or text invitation, use the steps below to respond from your device. You can be a part of only one family at a time.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap Invitations.

To accept an invitation, follow the onscreen instructions. When you join a family, you might be asked to confirm your account information and to opt in to any features or services your family set up.

On your Mac with macOS Ventura or later

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings.
  2. Click Family.

To accept an invitation, follow the onscreen instructions. When you join a family, you might be asked to confirm your account information and to opt in to any features or services your family set up.

On your Mac with macOS Monterey or earlier

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences.
  2. Click Family Sharing.

To accept an invitation, follow the onscreen instructions. When you join a family, you might be asked to confirm your account information and to opt in to any features or services your family set up.

If you can't accept the invitation

If you can't accept the invitation, check if someone else joined a family with your Apple ID. Remember, you can only join one family at a time, and you can only switch to a different family group once per year."

Hi hailie36,

The more details you provide, the better we can assist. What happens when you try to access your Apple Music account? Do you receive any specific error messages? Are you able to sign in with your Apple ID? If not, you may need to reset your password as explained here: If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support.

"Reset your Apple ID password on your iPhone or other trusted Apple device

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap your name > Password & Security > Change Password.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to reset your password.

You can also follow this process on a trusted iPad, iPod touch, or Apple Watch.

To reset your password on your trusted Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings (or System Preferences) > Sign in with your Apple ID (or Apple ID). Then click Password & Security, Change Password, and follow the onscreen instructions.

If you have a new Apple device

If you have a new Apple device or an Apple device that you aren't signed in to with your Apple ID, you can select "Forgot password or don't have an Apple ID?" wherever the option appears.

During device setup, you can find the "Forgot password or don't have an Apple ID?" option on the Apple ID sign-in screen.

After setup, you can find the "Forgot password or don't have an Apple ID?" option in Settings:

  • iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Go to the Settings app and tap Sign in to your iPhone. Then tap "Forgot password or don't have an Apple ID?" and follow the onscreen instructions.
  • Mac: Choose Apple menu  > System Settings (or System Preferences). Click Sign in with your Apple ID (or Apple ID), then click "Forgot Apple ID or password?" and enter your Apple ID."

Take care.
