When charging the face shows an alternating red and green indicator.
Is my watch charging or is it stuck in an endless loop?

This site does allow pictures. In a regular browser the button is usually below the editor window, see the image below. Second button from the right, looks a bit like mountains.
Wait and allow it too charge for about 1 hour. If it goes to all green then charging has resolved the issue. Otherwise contact Apple Support to arrange getting your watch checked and serviced.

The watch must be broken because it’s been recycling for over 5 hours.
Why doesn’t Apple allow pictures or videos on the support site? A picture/video is worth a thousand words.
