Mac Studio & Rode NT-USB Mini Support Issue

I too have the issue of the Rode NT_USB Mini mic "fuzzing out" when connected to any port on the Mac Studio M1 Max except either of the two Thunderbolt 4 ports on the rear of the Studio.

OS is Ventura 13.4.1(c)

It seems like overkill to require the use of Thunderbolt 4 just to support audio.

The mic is supplied with the large USB connector but does not perform at all well with this cable in any of the large USB ports on the Studio.

Apple issue or Rode issue?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

The ThunderBolt ports double as USB-C ports.

I would test the Mic on a USB-C to USB-A adapter plugged into one of the Mac Studios ThunderBolt/USB-C ports.

However, I had to start a new thread as the original conversation is a few months old and would not allow further reply.

indicates that several people have completed this testing to no avail.
