I can see my airpods pro 2 in find my but there is no green “Find” button to help me detect precise location of it, instead I see blue button for direction but that’s very vague.
also the Play sound in find my is super glitchy too and doesn’t play sound on case, just on the buds.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. What you have described sounds like your AirPods Pro may be offline. The following is from Find your lost AirPods - Apple Support and seems to match up with what you've indicated happens.
"If your AirPods are offline
If your AirPods are out of range or need to charge, you might see their last known location, "No location found," or "Offline."
You can't play a sound to find them, but you might be able to get directions to the location where they were last connected. If they do come back online, you get a notification on the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac that you use with them."
If you have your AirPods in hand right now, make sure they are paired with your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and that the paired device is up-to-date. That may help to get your AirPods Pro to appear as online.
