Apple pay no longer works after 16.6 update

Hi everyone

My apple pay stopped working on my iphone X after the update to 16.6

The double tap on the button is not working and it enabled under settings - wallet

If I open the wallet up ... it appears "frozen" i have to close it, since it doesn't do anything

If i try from settings->wallet & apple pay it remains froze and i have to close settings.

I already tried force reboot and even performed a restore using Itunes, but no luck.

It happened on 5.6.1(c) as well, but I removed that SU and came back to normal

Any ideas what can i do about it?

Wait, is this just an issue effecting version of the iPhone 10? Because I have the XR, and it's giving me the exact same issues, especially when dealing with in-game purchases for apps.

No, or there would be thousands of posts here with the same issue. Have you updated your iPhone to the latest version, iOS 16.7? What is the error message you’re receiving?

How are you attempting to use Apple Pay? In stores via a transaction terminal? Online via merchant websites? Where are you seeing >Payment Not Completed<?

1/ tried sending to family member from positive balance of Apple Pay funds

2/ tried adding funds to Apple Pay from debit card
